Vintage metal Ice Cream Scoop with turning blade for easy removal of the ice cream.  I do not know the exact age, but there is an embossed stamp on the tip of the handle that says: Glewell's V Clad Maker - Pat. May 3, 1876.  There are some etchings on the end of the handle as well.  With a magnifying glass I can make out the numbers: 117 4 9 and the letters H P V.  The metal is perhaps brass.  This is definitely an interesting utensil and a wonderful addition to a collection.
